White House Official to MTV: What to Expect From Trump’s Speech
A White House official told MTV that U.S. President Donald Trump will outline in his speech to the United Nations “his vision for using American power to reshape the world in a way that serves U.S. interests.” He will also address the Iranian nuclear threat, drug cartel violence and securing U.S. interests in Greenland.
The official added that “Trump will present his administration’s strategy to end violence and instability and counter foreign intervention in the Western Hemisphere, as well as its efforts to prevent the United Nations and international institutions from infringing on U.S. sovereignty or imposing what the administration describes as a ‘far-left agenda’ on Americans.”
