Makhzoumi meets Durel: Lebanon and France seek to strengthen cooperation
MP Fouad Makhzoumi said he met with French Ambassador to Lebanon Patrick Durel, describing the meeting as friendly and reflective of the historic friendship between Lebanon and France.
In a post on X, Makhzoumi expressed his appreciation for France, which he described as a steadfast friend that has stood by Lebanon and its people during difficult times, and praised its continued efforts to support Lebanon’s sovereignty, stability and recovery.
The talks covered local and regional developments, French efforts to support Lebanon and the upcoming conference in Paris to support the Lebanese Army.
Makhzoumi also stressed the importance of strengthening Lebanese-French cooperation, supporting state institutions and reforms, and restoring confidence in Lebanon to help open new prospects for recovery and prosperity for the Lebanese people.
