The US Embassy in Beirut posted the following on its official X account:
On LAF Day, the United States recognizes the Lebanese Army for its dedication to Lebanon's sovereignty and security.
As Secretary Rubio stated: “That is our hope, that the Lebanese Armed Forces and the legitimate, sovereign Lebanese Government will continue to be able to control and secure more and more of their own territory.”
