CMA CGM announced a 25% reduction in shipping costs for Lebanese apple exports to Egypt, Libya and Saudi Arabia, providing approximately $1 million in relief to farmers.
The company said the initiative aims to ease export challenges and support Lebanon’s abundant apple harvest through refrigerated containers and direct weekly shipping services.
The measure aligns with the Agriculture Ministry’s plan to export 100,000 tons of apples during the 2026 season.
CMA CGM reaffirmed its commitment to Lebanese agriculture, citing its Lebanon Packing House facility in Taanayel and continued support for potato exports and refrigerated shipping.
