Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari at the Grand Serail, where they discussed bilateral relations and ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries.
At the outset of the meeting, Al-Dosari conveyed to Salam the greetings of Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.
The Saudi ambassador reaffirmed the Kingdom’s support for Lebanon, commending the Lebanese government’s efforts to safeguard the state and its national institutions.
For his part, Salam reiterated Lebanon’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for the Kingdom’s efforts to protect its territory and citizens.
Discussions also focused on practical steps to activate the Saudi-Lebanese Joint Committee, following an agreement reached during Salam’s meeting with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan in New York last month.
The initiative aims to strengthen bilateral cooperation and coordination across various sectors.
