Raggi receives Human Rights Delegation
Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister Youssef Raggi received a joint delegation from the Khiam Rehabilitation Center for Victims of Torture and the Qana Human Rights Observatory, headed by Mohammad Safa.
The delegation submitted a memorandum outlining the conditions of Lebanese detainees held in Israeli prisons, highlighting restrictions preventing the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) from visiting them and assessing their detention conditions.
The delegation also presented a comprehensive draft proposal addressing the detainees’ case, requesting the Foreign Ministry’s support in bringing the issue before the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva during its next session in March.
Raggi thanked the delegation for its visit and pledged to follow up on the humanitarian issue.
