Industry Minister Joe Issa El-Khoury concluded his official visit to France with a meeting with his French counterpart, Sébastien Martin, in the presence of Lebanese Ambassador Rabih Chaer.
Discussions focused on strengthening bilateral industrial cooperation and attracting French investment to Lebanon, particularly in technology-driven industries and high-value-added sectors.
Issa El-Khoury highlighted Lebanon’s highly qualified workforce, emphasizing the quality of education provided by Lebanese universities and the expertise of graduates in engineering, technology and scientific disciplines.
The two ministers explored offshoring opportunities that would allow French companies to establish or expand production, engineering and technological activities in Lebanon, creating skilled jobs and increasing exports of high-value goods and services.
Issa El-Khoury renewed his invitation for Martin to visit Lebanon and explore its industrial capabilities and investment opportunities.
The French minister welcomed the initiative, stressing that reciprocal visits would strengthen bilateral relations and encourage partnerships between businesses in both countries.
Both sides agreed to organize a joint industrial investment forum in Paris, bringing together Lebanese and French companies and investors to translate potential opportunities into concrete partnerships and projects.
Issa El-Khoury emphasized that Lebanon’s objective extends beyond attracting capital to establishing long-term industrial and technological partnerships based on complementary production capabilities, knowledge transfer and innovation.
He said such cooperation would strengthen Lebanon’s position as a regional hub for specialized manufacturing and knowledge-based industries.
