Bassil, UN Envoy discuss ceasefire, Israeli withdrawal
Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Gebran Bassil met UN Special Coordinator Jean Arnault to discuss developments in Lebanon and the wider region, as well as the United Nations’ role in the current phase.
According to a statement from the Free Patriotic Movement, the talks focused on efforts to consolidate a comprehensive ceasefire, secure a full Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory, and address key political, security and institutional challenges facing the country, alongside upcoming national priorities.
