Gemayel discusses reform agenda With EU and foreign diplomats
Kataeb Party leader MP Samy Gemayel met a delegation of European Union and other foreign diplomats in Beirut, headed by EU Ambassador Sandra De Waele.
Talks focused on financial reforms, Lebanon’s programme with the International Monetary Fund, judicial reform and the independence of the judiciary, the party said.
Gemayel reaffirmed the Kataeb’s support for the required legislation, saying reforms were essential to advancing recovery, rebuilding state institutions and restoring public trust.
He also called for improving parliament’s working mechanisms to accelerate the passage of reform laws and strengthen legislative effectiveness.
