Coordination Between Lebanese and Syrian Armies Underway
MTV has learned that communication between the Lebanese and Syrian armies over the past few days led to the release of a Lebanese citizen who had been detained by the Syrian side several days ago.
According to details, Syrian border guards became suspicious of the citizen’s movements in an overlapping border area in northern Bekaa, prompting them to detain him and question him inside Syrian territory.
The incident prompted the Lebanese Army to contact the Syrian side, which resulted in the citizen’s handover after he had been held for four days.
