Salam Visits Zawtar El Gharbiyeh as Israeli Withdrawal Begins
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam visited Zawtar El Gharbiyeh, where he raised the Lebanese flag as Israel began withdrawing from the town. Accompanied by senior military and government officials, Salam said the move marked the first step toward securing a full Israeli withdrawal from all Lebanese territory.
He pledged to continue diplomatic efforts while accelerating the Lebanese Army’s deployment, reopening roads, clearing rubble, restoring essential services, and preparing temporary housing to support the safe and dignified return of displaced residents.
