Army Commander holds talks with French ambassador
Army Commander General Rodolphe Haykal received French Ambassador to Lebanon Patrick Durel at his office in Yarzeh, accompanied by Military Attaché Colonel Bruno Costantini, and discussed the latest developments.
Haykal thanked France for hosting the preparatory meeting for the international conference in support of the Lebanese Army and for its efforts to ensure the success of the conference.
He also received British Ministry of Defence Senior Adviser for the Middle East and North Africa Admiral Edward Ahlgren, in the presence of Chargé d’Affaires at the British Embassy Victoria Dun and a delegation. The meeting addressed developments in Lebanon and the region, with both sides underscoring the importance of the army’s role in preserving Lebanon’s security and stability.
