Stone-Throwing at Cars Ends in Arrest
The following statement was issued by the office of Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar:
As a result of security monitoring, investigations and extensive inquiries, the Information Branch of the Internal Security Forces arrested the individual who had been throwing stones at cars along the road to Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut. He admitted to committing the act, while investigations are continuing under the supervision of the competent judiciary to uncover the full circumstances and motives.
Minister Al-Hajjar stressed that the Internal Security Forces will continue to take the necessary measures and steps around the airport road, while tightening monitoring and follow-up to prevent such incidents from recurring and ensure the safety of citizens and passersby.
