Good News for Lebanese Expats In The US
The General Security Media Affairs Office issued the following statement:
As part of the efforts of the General Directorate of General Security to facilitate procedures for Lebanese nationals residing abroad, the Director General of General Security headed a technical delegation to the United States, where the Directorate equipped the Lebanese Embassy in Washington and the Consulate General in Detroit with the necessary systems and equipment to receive applications for biometric Lebanese passports and trained the relevant staff to operate them.
As of September 21, 2026, the General Directorate of General Security has begun accepting biometric passport applications from Lebanese nationals residing in the United States, without requiring them to travel to Lebanon.
