Salam submits 3 proposals to UN as MTV reveals middle-ground plan
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam traveled to New York to attend the United Nations General Assembly without submitting a formal written proposal on Lebanon’s position regarding the end of UNIFIL’s mandate at the end of the year.
That does not mean, however, that Lebanon has no proposals of its own. Salam is expected to present a number of ideas on behalf of the Lebanese state to the officials he will meet on the sidelines of the General Assembly.
According to MTV sources, Salam coordinated with President Joseph Aoun before traveling to New York on three proposals that he will put forward during his meetings.
