President Joseph Aoun meets Walid Jumblatt in presence of PSP Head and MP Abou Faour
President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, on Monday received former Progressive Socialist Party leader and former MP Walid Jumblatt, at Baabda Palace this afternoon, accompanied by by his son, Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Teymour Jumblatt, and MP Wael Abou Faour.
The meeting provided an opportunity to discuss the latest developments in Lebanon and the region in light of the current situation.
Former MP Jumblatt presented President Aoun with a copy of his memoir, published under the title A Destiny in This Levant: From the Civil War to the Impossible Peace.
Following the meeting, Former PSP head, Walid Jumblatt, said he supports the negotiations and the armistice agreement if they lead to a gradual or complete Israeli withdrawal.
Jumblatt added: If the framework agreement leads to a withdrawal and the demarcation of the border, then where is the problem? This is my personal point of view, no more and no less.
