Morcos: New media law signed, further changes under discussion
Information Minister Paul Morcos said after meeting President Joseph Aoun that the president had informed him he had signed the new media law.
President Aoun informed me that he had signed the new media law, and we discussed the amendments that could be introduced to reach the optimal version, Morcos said.
He added that he briefed Aoun on ongoing coordination with parliamentary blocs aimed at introducing further improvements to the legislation.
Morcos said the meeting also covered affairs related to the Ministry of Information, as well as the functioning of Télé Liban and other public media outlets.
