Berri holds a series of meetings
Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk, with his accompanying delegation, at the second presidency headquarters in Ain el-Tineh, in the presence of the OHCHR’s Regional Representative for the Middle East and North Africa, Mazen Shaqoura.
The meeting addressed developments in Lebanon and the region, field updates, the repercussions of Israeli attacks on Lebanon, and the displaced persons’ dossier.
Speaker Berri also received Swedish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jessica Svärdström, who came on a farewell visit upon the end of her diplomatic mission in the country. The visit provided an opportunity to discuss the general situation and bilateral relations between the two countries.
He also received the Head of the Judicial Inspection Authority, Judge Osama Mneimneh.
