Al-Hajjar backs President Aoun’s efforts to safeguard Lebanon
President of the Republic Joseph Aoun met at Baabda Palace with Minister of Interior Ahmad Al-Hajjar, with whom he discussed the security situation across the country.
Minister Al-Hajjar also briefed President Aoun on the measures and procedures being implemented by the security apparatuses to maintain security and stability.
Following the meeting, Minister Al-Hajjar said: I reaffirmed my support for the national efforts led by President of the Republic Aoun to protect Lebanon, safeguard its sovereignty, and lead the country out of the war imposed on it, with the ultimate goal of achieving Israeli withdrawal and extending the state's authority over its entire territory.
Al-Hajjar added: We expressed our satisfaction with the positive atmosphere surrounding President Aoun's visit to Washington, as well as the warm welcome and praise he received, as the visit reflects growing international confidence in Lebanon and its legitimate institutions.
The Minister continued: The historic summit between President Aoun and U.S. President Donald Trump marked a pivotal moment in Lebanese-American relations and conveyed a clear message of support for Lebanon.
