Extension or Elections? Parliament’s Future in Question
Former MP Hadi Hobeich said that “once the Lebanese government resolved the issue of Syrian prisoners, it put itself in an embarrassing position regarding Lebanese prisoners convicted of similar sentences.”
In an interview with MFM, Hobeich voiced his support for the Lebanese Forces’ proposal to shorten the term of Parliament, adding: “However, I do not think the proposal will pass, unless we want to see another extension until 2030.”
