Salam receives Archbishop of Montevideo and Cardinal of Urugua
Prime Minister Nawaf Salam received at the Grand Searil, Daniel Fernando Sturla, Archbishop of Montevideo and Cardinal of Uruguay, accompanied by Maronite Mariamite Order Superior General Edmond Rizk and Father Cesar Lahoud, head of the Order’s mission in Uruguay.
Following the meeting, Abbot Rizk said: This was a courtesy visit to express thanks and support for Prime Minister Salam for the tremendous efforts he is undertaking in Lebanon, in addition to congratulating him on his national speech, which conveyed a great deal of hope, and which he delivered at the Commencement ceremony of the Notre Dame University–Louaize (NDU), attended by Cardinal Sturla.
