Grand Mufti of the Republic, Abdel Latif Derian, received Economy Minister Amer Bisat at Dar Al-Fatwa, where discussions focused on Lebanon’s economic outlook and efforts to facilitate the resumption of exports to Saudi Arabia.
Bisat acknowledged the difficult economic conditions facing Lebanese citizens but said signs of improvement were emerging with the return of expatriates and the start of the summer season. He highlighted ongoing measures to ease Lebanese exports to Saudi Arabia, describing the process as progressing smoothly and expected to deliver significant economic benefits.
The minister also noted that falling fuel prices are expected to gradually reduce the costs of electricity generation, private generators and transportation in the coming weeks.
