Minister of Interior and Municipalities Ahmad Al-Hajjar received at his ministry office, the newly appointed Saudi Ambassador to Lebanon, Fahd bin Abdul Rahman Al-Dosari, who came on a protocol visit upon assuming his new diplomatic duties in the country.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed the depth of the relations between Lebanon and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as their shared commitment to strengthening and developing them across various fields, in a manner that serves the interests of both countries and the two brotherly peoples.
Minister Al-Hajjar expressed Lebanon’s appreciation for the support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and for the efforts it is conducting to enhance Lebanon’s security and stability. Minister Al-Hajjar also stressed the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination, particularly between the interior ministries and security agenecies of both countries, in the field of combating drug trafficking, dismantling smuggling networks, and confronting anything that could undermine the security of Lebanon and the Saudi Kingdom.
Minister Al-Hajjar further emphasized that Lebanon will not be a platform for any activity that threatens the security of brotherly Arab countries.
Al-Hajjar also renewed his thanks to Saudi Arabia for its decision to resume the import of Lebanese exports, describing the move as a reflection of confidence in the measures taken by the Lebanese state and a step that enhances prospects for Lebanon's economic recovery.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Dosari reaffirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia stands by Lebanon in a manner that safeguardes its security and stability, stressing the Kingdom's commitment to supporting Lebanon and its people.
