The Civil Defense Media and Public Relations Department issued the following statement:
Teams from the regional centers in Nabatieh and the affiliated civil defense units in Lebanon carried out, throughout yesterday, operations to open secondary and main roads in the Nabatieh area and the towns of Deir and Blat in the Marjayoun region, in order to remove rubble and facilitate traffic flow.
In a related context, search and rescue teams managed to recover the bodies of 13 martyrs from under the rubble. Specialized teams also worked to ensure public safety and remove hazards resulting from shelling.
The Lebanese Civil Defense continues to carry out its humanitarian and relief missions in response to citizens’ calls, despite difficult field conditions and challenges.
