Prime Minister Nawaf Salam held a phone call with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani, in which he praised the brotherly and candid stance toward Lebanon expressed by Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa during his television interview yesterday.
Premier Salam said that President Sharaa’s remarks put an end to speculation and misleading assumptions about Syria’s intentions toward Lebanon.
The call served as an opportunity to reaffirm the strength of relations between the two brotherly countries, and the importance of continuing efforts to consecrate them on new foundations of cooperation, state to state, and on the basis of shared interests.
