Iran Escalates Threats Toward Israel Through Lebanon
Commander of Iran's Quds Force Brig. Gen. Esmail Qaani warned Israel that it could face a repeat of its humiliating withdrawal from southern Lebanon in 2000 if it does not leave voluntarily.
In a message written in Hebrew and addressed to Israeli soldiers, Qaani said: In less than four days, you have suffered 100 killed and wounded. If you do not withdraw on your own, you will be driven out in defeat, just as happened during the 2000 epic.
Meanwhile, senior Iranian adviser Mohsen Rezaee blamed the United States for what he described as Israeli attacks and provocations in Lebanon, arguing that Washington is behind the current escalation.
