Labor Minister holds a series of meetings
Labor Minister Mohammad Haidar met with Claire Moulders, Deputy Regional Director and Director of the Decent Work Team for Arab States at the International Labour Organization, to discuss issues of mutual interest.
Haidar also received former minister Abdallah Farhat and later met representatives of the employees’ union of the Alfa and MTC Touch mobile operators, headed by union president Marc Aoun.
Discussions focused on end-of-service indemnities in line with decisions issued by the Council of State and the Council of Ministers, as well as the implementation of the collective labor agreement. Aoun thanked the minister for supporting workers’ rights.
The minister also received a delegation from the Bakers’ Syndicate in North Lebanon, headed by Tarek Al Mir, to discuss issues affecting the sector.
