Lawyer Detained Over Forgery
According to MTV sources, a lawyer has been arrested by order of Mount Lebanon Prosecutor General Judge Sami Sader, following a decision by the Beirut Bar Association to lift her immunity.
According to the details, the lawyer is suspected of forging and signing a document and falsely attributing it to the First Appellate Judge of Mount Lebanon. The document was addressed to a bank and instructed it to release funds to her client. She is also suspected of fabricating phone calls and attributing them to several judges.
The arrest comes as part of a broader crackdown on various forms of forgery initiated by Judge Sader since taking up his post in Mount Lebanon.
