Traffic measures in place for the anniversary commemorating Nasrallah and Safieddine
The Directorate General of the Internal Security Forces – Public Relations Division issued the following statement:
Firstly:
At 4:30 pm on September 27, 2026, a ceremony will be held to commemorate the second anniversary of the death of former Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine at the Martyr's Shrine in the southern suburbs of Beirut (Dahiyeh) near Airport Road. Accordingly, the roads leading to the shrine from the direction of the Old Airport Road and Ziad Al-Rahbani Highway will be closed, and traffic will be diverted to other roads starting at 1:00 pm on the aforementioned date and until the ceremony ends.Second:
On September 27, 2026, Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Establishment will carry out emergency repairs on Bourj Abi Haidar Street, in front of the Civil Defense building, from 8:30 am until 12:30 pm
The works will result in the closure of the road at the work site and the diversion of traffic from the Rifaï Intersection – Saeb Salam Boulevard (Corniche El Mazraa) toward Cola, as follows:
Traffic coming from Bourj Abi Haidar Street will turn right onto Al-Asir Street, then right under the Cola Bridge, followed by a left toward Falafel Al-Zawiya, and then left toward Qadmos Street – Cola Roundabout.
Citizens are urged to take note of these measures and comply with the instructions and directions of Internal Security Forces personnel, as well as the traffic signs posted at the site, in order to facilitate traffic flow and prevent congestion.
