Information Ministry, Anti-Corruption Commission join forces for transparency conference
The Ministry of Information and the National Anti-Corruption Commission will hold a press conference on Monday, September 28, to mark the International Day for Universal Access to Information and underscore the role of this right in strengthening transparency, accountability and public access to information.
Information Minister Paul Morcos and National Anti-Corruption Commission President Judge Claude Karam will take part in the event at noon at the Commission’s headquarters in Beirut.
The conference will address the importance of access to information and review initiatives aimed at strengthening implementation of the law in Lebanon.
It will also feature the launch of an interactive dashboard prepared by the Commission, presenting monitoring results on the extent to which ministries and concerned public administrations comply with Lebanon’s Access to Information Law.
