September Ends on a Rainy Note
The Meteorological Department at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expects Friday’s weather to be partly cloudy, with dense fog over the mountains and little change in temperatures.
The department’s forecast said:
General situation: Typical autumn weather is prevailing over Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean, with temperatures below seasonal averages along the coast through Monday. Conditions will then become unsettled, with temperatures dropping, particularly inland and over the mountains, accompanied at times by active winds and a chance of scattered rainfall.
Average September temperatures are 22–32°C in Tripoli, 24–32°C in Beirut and 16–32°C in Zahle.

Friday: Partly cloudy with dense fog over the mountains and little change in temperatures, becoming cloudy in the evening with a chance of drizzle over the mountains.
Saturday: Partly cloudy with dense fog over the mountains and little change in temperatures.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with fog over the mountains and little change in temperatures. Winds will occasionally strengthen in northern Lebanon, with higher waves.
Monday: Partly cloudy to cloudy with fog over the mountains. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged along the coast but will drop significantly inland and over the mountains, with a chance of scattered rain accompanied at times by thunder, lightning and active winds, resulting in higher waves.
Temperatures: 22–30°C along the coast, 16–25°C over the mountains and 16–32°C inland.
Surface winds: Northwesterly, at speeds of 10–30 km/h.
Visibility: Moderate along the coast and occasionally poor over the mountains due to fog.
Relative humidity along the coast: 40–75%.
