Jaber reviews revenue, treasury operations and digital transformation at Finance Ministry
Finance Minister Yassine Jaber chaired an expanded working meeting to review progress in revenue collection, treasury operations, digitalization and taxpayer services, while addressing technical and procedural obstacles still affecting implementation.
Discussions covered the expansion of electronic declarations and services, automation of payment matching with tax liabilities, and improved information flows between the Treasury, tax departments and payment channels.
Participants also reviewed wider use of electronic payments, including foreign-currency transactions, as well as plans to clear files accumulated from previous years while preventing new backlogs.
Jaber stressed the need to move from identifying problems to resolving them within clear deadlines and through direct follow-up.
Digitalization is not an end in itself, he said, but a means to improve collection, facilitate transactions for citizens and taxpayers, and raise the efficiency of the state’s financial administration.
The meeting was part of a series of internal reviews aimed at accelerating implementation and improving the performance of Finance Ministry departments.
