Al-Hajjar Stresses Tighter Security Measures in Beirut and Around Airport
Interior and Municipalities Minister Ahmad Al-Hajjar reviewed the country's security situation with Internal Security Forces Director General, Majot General Raed Abdallah, who briefed him on the measures and procedures being taken to maintain security and public order.
Minister Al-Hajjar stressed the need to strengthen security measures, particularly in Beirut and around the Beirut’s Rafic Hariri International Airport road, to ensure citizens’ safety and reinforce stability. He also called for continued strict enforcement against traffic violations and for measures to regulate traffic flow.
As part of his follow-up on district affairs, Minister Al-Hajjar separately received MPs Amin Sherri, Faisal Al-Sayegh and Walid Al-Baarini. The meetings addressed the general situation in the country, as well as issues related to their respective regions and matters affecting local resdents.
Al-Hajjar also held a meeting with Akkar Governor Imad Labaki, attended by a delegation of Akkar municipalities, and listened to their relevant demands.
