Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri received Minister of Information Paul Morcos at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain el-Tineh.
The discussion reportedly touched on the general situation, the latest political developments, and media affairs.
On emerging, Minister Morcos said, We discussed the general developments, with a particular focus on the media and its role in maintaining social stability during this difficult phase that Lebanon is going through, while upholding the guaranteed freedoms of opinion, expression, and press.’’
Morcos added, We also touched on a number of media-related draft laws and proposals. As I stated in my TV interview on Lebanon’s national channel, TL, the day before yesterday, we have full confidence in the Speaker of Parliament to consider these essential media legislations.
Speaker Berri also received MP Neemat Frem, with whom he discussed the general situation, political and field developments, and national and legislative affairs.
On emerging, MP Frem highlighted the paramount importance of preserving and reinforcing internal unity in the country.
