Public Works Minister Fayez Rasamny met Sky Lounge Services chairman Ziad Al-Mulla, following the company’s win in the tender to operate and invest in President Rene Mouawad–Qlayaat Airport.
According to a statement from Rasamny’s press office, the meeting comes as part of efforts to reactivate a civilian airport in northern Lebanon, in a step aimed at strengthening the country’s aviation infrastructure and transport sector.
Both sides stressed that the project forms part of a broader national strategy to develop Lebanon’s air transport sector, enhance operational and logistical capacities, stimulate economic growth and create direct and indirect job opportunities.
The statement added that the project is expected to reinforce northern Lebanon’s role as a key transport and services hub.
