Housing Bank chairman Antoine Habib visited Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and briefed him on ongoing housing loan programs and efforts to secure new financing from Arab funds.
Habib said the bank approved 957 housing-related files worth more than $67 million as of May 18, 2026.
Habib also announced a new development housing project after Banque du Liban approved releasing part of the bank’s funds in Lebanese pounds to finance residential units for low- and middle-income families, people with special needs and public and private sector employees.
Berri expressed readiness to provide further support to help Lebanese citizens secure affordable housing amid current economic difficulties.
