Former MP Saadeh praises Aoun’s steps on sovereignty and rejects criticism
President Joseph Aoun received former MP Samer Saadeh at Baabda Palace.
Following the meeting, Saadeh expressed confidence in the steps being taken by Aoun to secure Israel’s withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories in the south and to ensure that weapons and decisions of war and peace remain exclusively in the hands of the state.
Saadeh rejected what he described as baseless criticism targeting the president, stressing that Aoun represents all Lebanese without distinction and remains committed to the oath he took upon assuming office.
Saadeh also said he supports Aoun’s efforts to restore Lebanon’s sovereignty, both through confronting Israeli attacks and ending the phenomenon of illegal weapons inside the country.
