Energy and Water Minister Joe Saddi visited Aley district to follow up on projects discussed during a previous visit in January, meeting municipalities and local officials in Bhamdoun alongside MPs Nazih Matta and Akram Chehayeb.
Saddi said the visit reflects the ministry’s institutional approach based on transparency and accountability, presenting updates on water, electricity and infrastructure projects already launched or under preparation.
Projects include drilling and equipping water wells, building reservoirs and improving lighting networks.
Officials also discussed growing pressure on water resources due to displacement, the need to protect water sources and improve electricity supply, as well as calls for stronger municipal powers in local energy management.
