Scattered rain is expected in the morning, accompanied by active winds reaching 50 km/h, with a chance of lightning and thunder. Conditions will gradually improve from the afternoon, becoming stable in the evening, while fog continues to form over the highlands.
General situation:
Lebanon and the eastern Mediterranean basin are affected from midday today by a low-pressure system originating from southwest Turkey, bringing unstable and rainy weather, a temperature drop below seasonal averages, and active winds. It is expected to persist until Thursday evening before turning stable.
Note: Average May temperatures are 18–27°C in Beirut, 15–25°C in Tripoli, and 13–27°C in Zahle.
