Economy and Trade Minister Amer Bisat toured Tripoli’s Special Economic Zone alongside Tripoli Chamber of Commerce president Toufic Dabboussi, where he reviewed ongoing projects and investment opportunities with the zone’s management.
Bisat described the economic zone as the backbone of any development plan for Tripoli and northern Lebanon, citing its integration with Tripoli Port, Qlayaat Airport and the Rashid Karami International Fair.
He praised efforts to complete land tender procedures and advance the Knowledge and Innovation Center project in cooperation with the fairgrounds.
For his part, zone chairman Hassan Dnaoui said the visit aimed to reaffirm official support for the economic zone and discuss challenges facing its operations, noting the minister’s readiness to provide support alongside backing from Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and the presidency.
