Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met with MPs Bilal Houshaymi, Hassan Mrad and Ashraf Baydoun to discuss challenges facing Lebanon’s education sector, particularly official examinations.
Following the meeting, Houshaymi said the talks focused on growing concerns among students, parents and teachers over the mechanism for conducting official exams amid Lebanon’s exceptional security, social and psychological conditions.
The MPs stressed that student safety and the right to education under fair and secure conditions must remain a top priority, while preserving academic standards and the credibility of official certificates.
They also called for a balanced national approach that takes into account the difficult circumstances affecting students across different regions of Lebanon.
