Makki stresses unity, state authority after meeting Aoun
Administrative Development Minister Fadi Makki stressed the importance of internal cohesion and national unity following talks with President Joseph Aoun, amid what he described as a critical phase for Lebanon.
Makki reaffirmed Lebanon’s core principles in any negotiations, including the full liberation of Lebanese territory, the extension of state authority across the country, the return of prisoners and displaced people, and reconstruction efforts.
Makki also called for avoiding divisive rhetoric and accusations of treason, urging support for the state and the Lebanese army to safeguard stability and strengthen the country’s resilience.
