Aoun meets with delegations from Marjayoun and Hasbaya to discuss local needs
President Joseph Aoun received Mufti of Marjayoun and Hasbaya Sheikh Hassan Al-Dali at Baabda Palace on Tuesday afternoon, in the presence of Hilal Saab, for talks on conditions in the two districts and the hardships facing residents who remain in their villages despite continued Israeli attacks on neighboring areas.
Al-Dali briefed Aoun on the needs of local communities and measures required to strengthen their resilience. He also invited the president to visit the region and meet residents who remain committed to the Lebanese state, its legitimate institutions and security forces, particularly the Army.
Aoun reaffirmed his daily follow-up on conditions in border communities, especially Marjayoun and Hasbaya, and his commitment to securing the assistance necessary to sustain residents until the Israeli occupation ends.
He stressed the importance of restoring stability and normal life in South Lebanon under a state capable of protecting its citizens, safeguarding their interests and meeting their needs.
