U.S. Embassy in Beirut thanks Trump for a 'long-awaited Lebanese dream'
The U.S. Embassy in Beirut thanked U.S. President Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio for their leadership and efforts to bring closer to reality a long-awaited Lebanese dream: the launch of direct flights between Lebanon and the United States.
In a post on X, the embassy said the move would strengthen trust between the two countries and reflect confidence in Lebanon’s future.
Direct flights would bring families closer together, strengthen ties with the Lebanese-American community, and make it easier for U.S. businesses to explore opportunities and invest in Lebanon.
The embassy added that it looked forward to working with its Lebanese partners to turn this opportunity into reality, benefiting both peoples and helping build a more prosperous Lebanon.
