Information Minister Paul Morcos Leaves for Jordan to Attend Media and Communications Conference
Lebanese Information Minister Paul Morcos departed Beirut for the Jordanian capital, Amman, to participate in the “Future of Media and Communications” conference, and to attend the opening session at noon.
Morcos is expected to meet Jordanian Minister of Government Communication Mohammad Al-Momani this afternoon to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
In the evening, he will meet members of the Lebanese community at the Lebanese Embassy in Amman, followed by a meeting with the Lebanese-Jordanian Business Forum.
On the second day of the conference, Morcos will participate in a discussion session with Arab information ministers entitled “Arab Media Ministers and Leaders Look to the Future.” The session will address the prospects for Arab media, the challenges it faces amid digital transformation and rapid developments in the communications sector, and ways to strengthen joint cooperation.
Minister Morcos is expected to speak about Lebanon’s new media law and the process of modernizing and reforming media legislation that began in Lebanon under the current presidential term.
