Lebanese and Israeli Armies Just 50 Meters Apart
The Israeli army advanced with a unit comprising infantry personnel and a D9 military bulldozer to a point approximately 50 meters from a Lebanese Army position near the water tank in the town of Zawtar al-Gharbiya. The bulldozer uprooted olive trees as part of a clearing operation that has been ongoing since yesterday.
An Israeli Merkava tank was also spotted advancing from the town of Khiam toward the outskirts of Nabaa Ebl al-Saqi, while machine-gun fire was directed toward the area surrounding the spring as part of a sweeping operation.
