The Prime Minister’s Office issued the following statement:
Following reports claiming that Prime Minister Nawaf Salam’s planned visit to the city of Nabatieh next Saturday had been canceled, the Prime Minister’s media office clarified that no such visit had been scheduled for this week. Therefore, no visit was canceled, and the reports being circulated are completely untrue.
Prime Minister Salam commended the efforts of the Lebanese Army and the measures it is taking to reinforce its deployment in non-occupied villages and towns, helping reassure residents, maintain stability, facilitate the return of residents, and ensure the regular functioning of public administrations and institutions.
The media office said Salam is closely following developments in Nabatieh and its surrounding areas and remains in constant contact with the city’s Imam, Sheikh Abdel Hussein Sadiq, and its Mayor, Hajj Abbas Fakhr El-Din. Prime Minister Salam hopes to visit Nabatieh as soon as possible, reaffirming the state’s support for its residents and backing their resilience and return.”
