MP Imad Hout published the following on X:
The 2027 budget cannot be judged solely by the phrase ‘no new taxes.’ We want a clear breakdown of revenues and fees, the cost of adjusting salaries, and the impact of oil prices and inflation, along with clear figures on the impact of energy costs on transportation, electricity, and food.
We also need measures to control prices and protect households, to ensure that citizens are not burdened with indirect costs.
What is needed is a swift dialogue and a fair, sustainable plan for wages and pensions, with clear funding sources that protect purchasing power without fueling inflation. Justice must come before taxation.
