Raggi at 166th session of Arab League Council: Lebanon remains committed to Resolution 1701
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Youssef Raggi speaking during the 166th session of the Arab League Council held in Cairo at the ministerial level, said Lebanon condemns Israeli attacks on its sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the occupation of large areas of Lebanese territory.
Minister Raggi stressed Lebanon’s commitment to UN Security Council Resolution 1701, considering it the broader framework for addressing the requirements of the current phase, alongside the cessation of hostilities agreement, the Armistice Agreement, and the Arab peace initiative.
Raggi added that Lebanon needs international support and the establishment of a working mechanism to implement Resolution 1701 and the trilateral framework, stressing the importance of stepping up international efforts to ensure respect for Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
