Makki from Baabda: The State and its legitimate institutions are the ultimate guarantors of Lebanon’s protection and sovereignty
President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, met with Minister of Administrative Development Fadi Makki at Baabda Palace.
Following the meeting, Minister Makki said: We discussed the latest developments and the current situation, and reaffirmed our condemnation of the ongoing Israeli attacks on southern Lebanon, stressing the need to intensify efforts to halt them and protect Lebanon and its people. We also emphasized our support for the Lebanese Army and the need to strengthen its presence, as well as the importance of everyone rallying under the authority of the state and its legitimate institutions, which remain the primary reference and guarantor for protecting Lebanon and the Lebanese people, and safeguarding the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Makki added: I briefed the President of the Republic on the progress of work at the Ministry of State for Administrative Development, and the main files and reform initiatives we are working on, particularly the ministry’s restructuring process, digital transformation, and the World Bank loan allocated to support digital transformation and the development of public services.
